My wife and I were married in Greenville, SC on September 20, 2008. It turns out that Paul O'Neil, who is my favorite Yankee of all-time, was staying in the same hotel as us on the day of our wedding. One of my best friends, who is also a die-hard Yankees fan, saw Paul eating breakfast in the Hampton Inn lobby that morning, but did not have the courage to introduce himself. He wanted to tell Paul that the wedding which was taking place across the river that night, was for one of Paul's biggest fans. I'm sure that if my friend would have introduced himself that day, Paul would have been generous enough to give me his autograph in honor of my wedding day. My wife and I took it as a perfect omen to an incredible day when we learned that Paul was staying in our hotel. Out of all the random places in the world, Paul was staying in our hotel in Greenville, SC on the day that my beautiful fiance became my incredible wife!
